1. INTRODUCTION
Jinchuan Group Thermal Power Co., Ltd.
This plants daily needs 400m3/hr permeate.
The pretreatment of this system consists of MMF and UF before the water is fed into the reverse osmosis system.

2. Challenge
The feedwater from the reservoir and surface water contains high level of iron, organic and microorganism and which fouls the UF membrane . Even with the UF as upstream pretreatment for RO , some organics and microorganism are still carried over and eventually fouled the RO membrane system.

Example Picture of organic and biofouling at tail of RO Membrane

3. Solution
After a series of test conducted , Ochemate CLN751 , Ochemate CLN771 and Ochemate CLN711 is used to clean ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis system membranes . To further prevent biofouling in the  system , Ochemate TBC9527 a non oxidizing and fast acting biocide is used to sterilized the system.

Conclusion
The antiscalant CPE4000 is effective in preventing scaling in the RO systems with water from reservoir and surface water.
The performance for both UF and RO system is also restored after cleaning with Ochemate CLN751, Ochemate CLN771 and Ochemate CLN711.
